Deb Casey

I have a stained-glass business named "Windows & Webs" that has kept me willingly busy for the past 6 years. Working with glass never gets old to me. I love designing my own windows. Although I have been known to use someone else's ideas. I also do repairs and custom orders. The shop isn't always open, but if you see my light on at 418 Main Street in Rockwell City, come on in. Visit my Facebook page under Window & Webs.

Pictured are windows that I have designed from photographs. The sea turtle was designed from a photograph given to me by a customer and the Lady on the Moon was designed from an old black and white photograph of my mother. Other items I will have at my booth include; sun-catchers, frames, antique plate panels, jewelry boxes of all sizes, paper weights, candle shelters, snowflakes, business card holders, and anything new that I can come up with by November. Art on the Prairie is a unique venue for finding that special gift for birthdays or holidays.  Don't do all your Christmas shopping before checking out all the artists during this weekend.

I've had a passion for art my whole life but only pursued it as an adult. I've enjoyed dabbling in most mediums. It wasn't until I was introduced to melting glass, that I found my real passion. Manipulating melted glass into shapes, swirling various colors together, is so mesmerizing. I've been fortunate too take several masters classes in glass and love to share my love of glass with anyone who wants to learn.

We create decorative kiln-formed glass that is either fully fused or tacked fused to provide texture and depth. We may sandblast some pieces before slumping to a desired shape. Our work is very colorful and bright and we feel there is a color in our work for everyone.
