Jen Lawler
www.jenlawlerdesigns.etsy.com

My name is Jennifer Lawler and I am a modern jewelry designer and creator. I create all of my pieces by hand using Sterling Silver, Yellow or White gold, natural Gemstones and Pearls. My goal in all of my creations is to design clean, modern, one of a kind pieces that the buyer enjoys wearing on a daily basis. I strive for comfort and ease in wearing just as much and style and uniqueness.

My passions in metal textures and gemstones stretch far across the board. I can be seen designing bracelets with lots of textures and patterns that hold colored semi precious gemstones to creating a modern square wedding ring that is smooth and shiny holding lots of Diamonds. I love to create for people to enjoy.

Kelly Moore

My name is Kelly Moore and I love to make jewelry. I started out cutting the ends off of old silverware forks or spoons and making bracelets, earrings, and pendants for necklaces.  I am always experimenting and trying new things,(plus i get bored easily,) so I have expanded into using copper and brass, porcelain, glass, rocks, and other found objects in my pieces. I also use my soldering iron or torch to fuse pieces together, have sliced hollow handle butter knives to make rings for necklaces and earrings, and used my diamond blade band saw to cut flattened spoons into the shapes I want.  Really its a lot of fun!  I love it when people bring me their old silverware and ask me to make them something cool.

I’m Heather, the artisan and designer behind Morphew Designs. I have enjoyed creating since I was a child. My father made his living as a self-employed carpenter and I took after his love of creating. Morphew Designs was born in 2010 as my jewelry creation was making a transition from a personal interest to an actual business, and is a tribute to my father who passed in 2003.

I have a passion for creating and strive for originality, quality and craftsmanship. I specialize in incorporating metals with natural stones and applying various techniques to achieve unique colors, textures and designs. All designs are original and many are one of a kind. Much of my inspiration comes from the beauty of the natural world: the oceans, lakes, forests, mountains, stars, planets, galaxies...the magnitude of this universe. I am always amazed. My pallet is a reflection of the color schemes, forms and textures found in nature.

My jewelry reflects my passion for antiquing & recycling. I love working with early plastics (e.g., bakelite & lucite), found objects (e.g., old bottle tops, transit tokens, typewriter keys, electrical resisters, lithograph tin, etc.), broken vintage jewelry & charms, leather, metal (especially copper), & gemstone beads to create something new & interesting to wear. I use a variety of techniques in my work, including cold connections, wire-wrapping, enameling, resin-casting, texturing, forming, soldering, & crocheting. I take jewelry classes at the Des Moines Art Center, & enjoy learning & experimenting with new techniques. Each piece of jewelry I design is unique, & comes with a story that describes the origins of the materials I've used or the message/meaning of the work as a whole.

Vintage lucite flower earrings, necklaces and bracelets dripping with Czech glass flowers and leaves connect vintage art nouveau brass components. Brass dragonflies, ladybugs, butterflies and birds are combined with natural stone and my own handmade glass lamp worked beads wrapping the wearer in a little piece of the garden. Vintage treasures I find on my travels abroad highlight my work. I took my first art class between 3rd and 4th grade and I fell in in love with all things color and design. Many college classes later I’m still learning - now mostly self taught which gives me great freedom to create my own way. I am an Iowa master gardener and get much inspiration from my extensive gardens. I share a home with 13 cats and the love of my life, my husband Dave, who helps me do my shows.

Joyful Heart Design is a magical mix of metal and stone with an organic feel. Taking classes on various production styles from soldering to Precious Metal Clay, to Fold Forming, etc. has elevated me from the basics of stringing. I recently joined the Des Moines Lapidary Society and have access to their big machines, heaven! I made my first cabochon! I am a retired teacher of children with learning and behavior disabilities and a past Inn/Gift Shop owner/operator on the Mississippi in Wisconsin. Life is good!

We are a mum and daughter partnership designing and creating one of a kind pieces of jewelry. Some of our favorite mediums to work with are brass, copper and polymer clay. We take our inspiration from nature and our rural surroundings. The colors we use are earth tones. Lots of blues, greens and browns. We are constantly looking for new ideas and mediums to express our creativity.
